Coffee Chocolate Cupcakes with Baileys Frosting


  •  1/2 tsp baking soda
  •  1/4 cup (59ml) buttermilk
  •  3 tbsp (22g) cocoa
  •  1/2 cup (114g) butter
  •  1/2 cup (118ml) coffee
  •  1 cup (200g) sugar
  •  1 cup (125g) flour
  •  1/4 tsp salt
  •  1 egg
  •  1/2 tsp vanilla


  •  1/2 cup (114g) butter, softened
  •  4 cups (500g) powdered sugar
  •  1/4 cup (59ml) Baileys
  •  1 tsp vanilla
  •  1 tbsp milk
  •  2 tbsp coffee
Chocolate Cupcakes Recipe

Oven 350

Line cupcake pan. Mix baking soda and buttermilk set aside. Whisk sugar, flour, and salt, and set aside. In a saucepan, melt butter and cocoa over low heat. When smooth, add coffee, take off the heat. Add cocoa mix and egg to the flour mix.

Add buttermilk mix and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Fill pan and bake for 20 minutes. Cool completely. Mix all frosting ingredients together until smooth
