dark chocolate brownies with pecans & sea salt.

6.5oz (185g) dark chocolate, chopped

1/2 cup + 1 tbsp (125g) butter, cut into pieces

1 cup + 2 tbsp (228g) sugar

3 eggs

1 cup (125g) AP flour

1/2 cup (54g) pecans, chopped

sea salt

(I sprinkled some mini chocolate chips on top, just for looks)

Oven 350F. Grease a 8 inch round cake pan with butter and dust with cocoa powder.

Bring a pot of water to a simmer, and place a heatproof bowl on top and place the butter and chocolate in. Gently stir until melted and combined. Let cool to room temperature.

In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar and eggs until light and airy. Pour in the chocolate/butter and whisk to combine. Fold in the flour until just combined. Then fold in the pecans.

Scrape into the prepared pan and sprinkle with sea salt. I prefer fleur de sel but use maldon if that's your go to.

Bake for around 35 minutes until center is set. Let cool completely before slicing.
