Almond Pear Cream Cheese Tart

The crust on this tart tastes like a sugar cookie.

I normally double the crust part because it tastes that good. Everyone will love this when you make it, trust me. I think making it with blueberries or some other fruit would be lovely too. Hmmm... project for this week maybe.

almond pear cream cheese tart

crust
1/2 cup (114g) softened buter
1/3 cup (66g) sugar
1 cup (125g)  flour


filling
1 cup (227g) softened cream cheese
1/3 cup (66g) sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla


topping
1/3 cup (66g) sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3 medium pears, peeled and sliced
1/4 cup (25g) sliced almonds

Oven 425F
You will need a standard 8 inch springform pan.
crust
Beat butter and sugar until pale. Then add flour.
Press onto bottom and sides of pan.


filling                                                                        Beat cream cheese and sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Pour into crust.


topping
Mix sugar and cinnamon. Toss with the pears.
Arrange over filling and sprinkle with almonds.
Bake for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 375 and bake for 25 minutes.
Serve cold
